MorThanA Dream Arabians (pronounced “more than a dream”) was established in 1990 as a result of owner Michelle Aherin’s dream to raise beautiful, functional Arabian horses that anyone would be proud to own, and owner Darrel Aherin’s desire to help make that dream come true for Michelle.  Starting with one Arabian broodmare, Michelle’s previous horse experience and a wealth of desire, Michelle Aherin read every magazine and book she could find on breeding and raising horses - particularly Arabian horses.  Michelle and Darrel traveled to as many large Arabian farms, training facilities and Arabian shows as possible observing and asking questions.  Among the most influential farms visited were Varian Arabians, Delongpre’ Arabians, Grand Arabians, Vantage Point Farm and Simeon Stud in Australia.  Over the years, Michelle and Darrel have continued their quest to learn from the best and have implemented that knowledge to produce Michelle’s dream horses. 

Michelle and Darrel have opted not to stand a stallion of their own, but rather to own the highest quality broodmares and breed them to the many top quality stallions available to us through artificial insemination.  This allows us to continually mix and match our broodmares with the stallions we deem to have the qualities to continue the dream.  We have had extraordinary results with many purebred Arabian stallions as well as several out-cross stallions such as Friesian, Paint and Hanovarian.

MDA horses are certainly beautiful, but that is only the beginning.  MDA horses are also functional and have personalities and dispositions that make them a pleasure to work with and own.
